General Construction Contractor

The Morristown Housing Authority (“Housing Authority”) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide agency-wide general construction work including but not limited to residential apartment turnovers, renovation of hallways, community rooms, commercial space, lobby areas, and other related construction work at various locations. The contract term will be a period of one (1) year with the option to extend, at the Housing Authority’s election, for two (2) one-year terms. 

Vendors must have at least five (5) years’ experience in general construction renovation work for residential, office and common area spaces including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, masonry, tiling, ceiling, painting, partitions, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. The successful vendor(s) must demonstrate they can adequately provide the required skilled personnel to complete the work within the determined schedule. The vendor(s) must be familiar with current applicable code requirements and secure all necessary permits and licenses to successfully complete the tasked scopes of work. 

Interested and qualified vendors are invited to obtain a copy of this solicitation by submitting an email request or downloading from this website.   

An (1) electronic version (PDF file format with signature pages) of vendor’s response to solicitation must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, and shall be submitted via email.  All responses shall be clearly titled “General Construction Contractor RFQ #19-005”. 

Requests for interpretation and other questions must be made in writing by Tuesday, June 4, 2019 by 5:00 PM to MHAProcurement@morristownha.com with the Subject heading “General Construction Contractor RFP #19-005 Questions”.
